I joined River End Games near the end of production on the Eriksholm project and contributed to several areas.
I designed and produced the animated main-menu background, creating the full sequence in Houdini, rendering in UE5 and colour grading in DaVinci Resolve.
For the Epilogue environment I worked with existing project assets and built several new ones from them, including the main shelter house.
I applied a similar workflow to the battleships, creating additional bespoke assets such as the gun turrets, top viewpoint platforms and various smaller props. I also created a set of animated machinery assets to add detail and motion to one of the levels. These were primarily done in Blender and Painter.
This project was also my first experience with destruction and VFX. I used Houdini for explosion and smoke simulations (baked into flipbooks) as well as fracturing and destruction sims in combination with Niagara in UE5.
